One of the most important components that ties all of your vehicles electronics together is the alternator.

Whether you need a high output alternator to power your muscle car, street rod or race car, there’s a DynaForce Alternator for your application.

For The Street,

MSD offers a 120 or 160 amp one-wire alternator. Not only are they designed for extreme output at higher rpm, but MSD balances the current output to keep your electronics charged during idle and lower rpm operation as well.

Designed with straight mounts, the mounting tabs fit many GM bracket systems from the mid ‘60s to the mid ‘80s.

For The Track,

The DynaForce race alternators are engineered to perform in severe racing environments. Easily identified with their durable MSD red wrinkle finish and they have one wire installation. They can be used to charge either 12 or 16 volt electrical systems

For low content race cars such as circle track cars, there is a compact, lightweight “Denso”model that provides up to 50 amps.  This unit accepts many aftermarket bracket assemblies to accommodate different applications.

For drag cars or other higher content race vehicles, the 120 or 160 amp one-wire alternator is designed for extreme output at lower rpm while still balancing the current output to keep your electronic components up to speed during idle. The 100 Amp output version with  an easy to adjust regulator within the unit that allows you to set it for your application. The brackets of the system are designed to fit many common GM and aftermarket based bracket systems.

With 3.4 horsepower motor and 4.4:1 gear reduction these starters easily turn over high compression engines. The downsized housing clears most headers and oil pans, adjustable billet mount can be clocked in different positions for tight applications.  Armature is balanced during assembly and guided by two ball bearings for smooth engagement during thousands of starts and the durable MSD red powder coated finish will stay looking good, even though it’s underneath your car.
